Sausage Stuffed French Bread Recipe

  1. Cut the ends off the bread and hollow out the loaves.
  2. Process the bread in food processor and reserve the crumbs.
  3. Brown the sausage in a skillet; add in onion and beef.
  4. Cook till beef is lightly browned.
  5. Combine bread crumbs, meat mix, egg, mustard, parsley, fennel, salt and pepper in a large bowl.
  6. Spoon the mix into the bread shells; attach bread ends with small skewers.
  7. Heat the butter; saute/fry garlic till golden brown and brush over loaves.
  8. Wrap loaves in aluminum foil, leaving foil open slightly at the top.
  9. Bake at 400 degrees till heated through, 15 to 20 min.
  10. Cut into 36 appetizer portions.
