Bacon Onion Chip Dip C/P Recipe
- 6 slc bacon finely minced
- 8 ounce light cream cheese softened
- 1 c. light lowfat sour cream
- 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese aged
- 2 x green onions finely minced potato chips or possibly crackers
- In a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, cook bacon 7-8 minutes or possibly till crisp.
- Drain on paper towels.
- In a bowl combine cream cheese, cooked bacon, lowfat sour cream, cheddar cheese and green onions.
- Mix well and transfer to lightly greased crockpot
- Cover and cook on high for 1 hour or possibly till cheese is melted.
- Don't stir.
- Reduce heat to low till ready to serve.
- Transfer to a bowl and serve with plain potato chips or possibly as a spread on crackers.
- Will keep well in fridge for several days.
- NOTES : Can be mixed up to 24 hrs in advance and refrigerated.
- Spoon into prepard crockpot and heat as directed.
- To reheat leftovers, nuke on medium 2-3 minutes.
- Stir before serving.
- Yield: 3 c.
