Apples-On-The-Bottom Cobbler
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can apple pie filling
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 12 teaspoons baking powder
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons chilled shortening (divided) or 4 tablespoons margarine (divided)
- 12 cup milk
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Pour filling into 9" square baking dish.
- Dot the top with 1 Tbsp margarine.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut in the margarine.
- Work until dough is lumpy.
- Add the milk.
- Mix into pasty dough.
- Dab dough on top of apples.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown and delicious.
