Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.
  2. Lightly spray a 9-inch square glass baking dish with cooking spray.
  3. In a large bowl, stir together all the ingredients except the Cheddar.
  4. Spoon into the baking dish.
  5. Bake for 50 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
  6. Stir in half the Cheddar.
  7. Sprinkle with the remaining Cheddar.
  8. Bake for 5 minutes, or until the Cheddar is melted.
  9. You can save almost 40 minutes by using your microwave when preparing this dish.
  10. In a 9-inch square microwaveable baking dish, stir together all the ingredients except the Cheddar.
  11. Cook, covered, on 100 percent power (high) for 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender, stirring every 5 minutes.
  12. Sprinkle with all the Cheddar.
  13. Cook, uncovered, on 100 percent power (high) for 1 minute, or until the Cheddar is melted.
