Easy BBQ Pulled Chicken
- 1 whole Prepared Store Bought Rotisserie Chicken
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 whole Onion, Diced
- 1 clove Garlic, Minced
- 23 cups BBQ Sauce, Homemade Or Store Bought
- 13 cups Water
- Remove the skin from the chicken and pull the meat off of the bones using two forks.
- Set meat aside.
- Add the olive oil and diced onion into a large pan and saute for a few minutes on low heat until the onions are translucent.
- Add the minced garlic and continue sauteing for another minute until the garlic softens.
- Add the chicken meat into the pan.
- In a small bowl, mix the BBQ sauce and water together.
- You can alter the ratio to suit your taste but I find that, without the water, the flavor of the sauce masks the flavor of the chicken and aromatics.
- Pour the sauce into the pan and toss to coat the chicken.
- Cook on a low flame until everything is heated through.
- Serve on toasted rolls.
- Makes approximately 6 servings depending on the size of the chicken.
