Peach Crisp Mix In A Pint Jar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup quick oats
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp flaked coconut
- 1 (8 ounce) can sliced peaches
- Place first 5 ingredients into a medium bowl.
- Blend with a whisk.
- Place mixture into a zipper sandwich bag.
- Place can of peaches into a wide mouth pint size canning jar.
- (Use a new jar- not one that has ever been canned in or cooked in before.)
- Place bag of mix into jar on top of can.
- Screw lid onto jar.
- Decorate jar and attach a recipe card with the following instructions.
- Remove contents of jar.
- Empty mix into a medium bowl.
- Add 2 tablespoons (1/4 stick) melted butter to dry mix.
- Mix until crumbly.
- Spray inside of jar with cooking spray.
- Placr undrained peaches into jar.
- Sprinkle crumbly mix into jar on top of peaches.
- DO NOT PLACE LID ON JAR.
- Bake at 325F for 45 minutes.
- (To bake, place jar in a small shallow baking dish to keep it balanced in the oven.)
- Use hot pads to remove from oven.
- Serve warm or cold.
- Serve plain or with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
