Steak and Cheese Burgers
- 1 lb steak, sirloin, cut into 1 to 2 inch chunks
- 1 12 teaspoons McCormick's Montreal Brand steak seasoning
- 4 ounces cheese, cheddar, cut into 1 inch cubes
- 4 hamburger buns
- Place sirloin chunks and Montreal steak seasoning in Master Prep Pitcher.
- Secure Pitcher's top and pulse for 10-15 seconds, until meat is ground.
- Add cheddar cheese to the gound sirloin and re-secure the Pitcher's top.
- Pulse 3-5 times to chop and combine the cheese into the meat, leaving about 1/4 inch chunks of cheese thoughout.
- Carefully remove blades from Pitcher, and then scoop out the ground sirloin and cheese, one handful at a time.
- Use your palms to form into patties.
- Grill, pan fry or broil burgers as you normally would.
- Some cheese will almost certainly explode out of these burgers as you cook; making thicker, rather than wider patties is recommended to keep the most intact.
- If pan frying or broiling, thick burgers will take around 5-6 minutes to cook well on each side.
- Be sure to scrape any cheese from the pan into the bun with the burger!
- Serve on large hamburger buns, topped with your favorite fixings.
