Feta and Basil Turkey Burgers
- 1 pound 93/7 Ground Turkey
- 13 cups Crumbled Feta Cheese
- 2 Tablespoons White Onion, Chopped
- 1 Tablespoon Fresh Basil, Chopped
- 1 Tablespoon Panko Bread Crumbs
- 1- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Pepper
- 5 Hamburger Buns
- 1 cup Fresh Basil Leaves
- 1 clove Garlic
- 1/4 cups Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 2 Tablespoons Pine Nuts Or Walnuts
- 1/4 cups Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
- 1-2 Tablespoons Light Or Regular Mayonnaise
- In a large bowl combine all of the burger ingredients (except buns, of course) and mix until all ingredients are combined.
- Separate into five four-ounce balls.
- Roll each ball and using the palms of your hands press down until 1/2 inch thick.
- Cook burgers on a grill, stovetop or broiler until thoroughly cooked through about 5-7 minutes per side.
- Basil Pesto Mayonnaise: Combine the basil, garlic, cheese and pine nuts in your food processor.
- Stream in olive oil as you continue processing.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Process to desired consistency.
- Add in mayonnaise and gently stir it together with the basil pesto.
- Serve on top of turkey burgers.
