Mother's Apple Butter

  1. Preheat oven to 250.
  2. Combine everything and bring to a boil.
  3. Cook gently 30 minutes, stirring frequently.
  4. Pour into oven proof dish or pan and bake, uncovered in a slow oven, 250, for 2 hours or until thick, stirring occasionally.
  5. Pour into hot jars and seal.
  6. Comment: if keeping on the shelf used standard canning methods.
