Cheese Sticks
- 5 pieces mozzarella string cheese, cut in half
- 14 cup milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 34 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 13 cup flour
- 14 cup cornstarch
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- 12 teaspoon garlic powder
- 12 teaspoon oregano, crushed
- 12 teaspoon parsley, crushed
- oil, for frying
- Heat oil in deep fryer, or pan to 400.
- Combine the beaten egg and milk, mix well.
- Combine the flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano, parsley.
- Mix well.
- Dip the pieces of cheese into the milk, roll in the flour pressing lightly, then again in the milk.Then roll pieces of cheese in bread crumbs, covering completely.
- **If you're busy in the kitchen, you can put them back into the freezer once breaded to chill for a little bit before frying**.
- Fry until golden (2-3 minutes) or until cheese just starts to bubble out.
