Cream Cheese Brownies

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  3. In a 2-quart saucepan, melt butter and chocolate over low heat.
  4. With wire whisk, beat in 2 cups sugar and 3 eggs until blended.
  5. Stir in flour, salt, nuts and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
  6. Spread evenly in pan.
  7. Beat cream cheese, remaining 1/2 cup sugar, 1 egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla until well blended, about 3 minutes.
  8. Drop 6 dollops of cream cheese mixture on top of batter.
  9. Swirl with a spatula to marbleize.
  10. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  11. Cool pan on wire rack.
  12. Cut when completely cool.
