Hungarian Goulash Soup(Not Just A Soup - A Meal!)

  1. Trim all visible fat from the round steak and brown in the olive oil and garlic clove. Drain fat. Add to stock pot with tomato sauce, onions, vinegar, beef bouillon, paprika, caraway seeds, marjoram, bay leaf, salt, pepper and water. Bring to boil and simmer 2 hours or until beef falls apart with a fork. Remove steak, shred and return to pot. Add diced potatoes and simmer until tender - approximately 1 hour. Serve in soup bowls with dark bread and unsalted butter. Serves 8.
