Fruitcake Bars

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. With an electric mixer on medium high, beat the butter, brown and granulated sugars, corn syrup and vanilla for 3 minutes.
  3. Add the egg and beat until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk togetheer the flour, salt and baking soda.
  5. Reduce mixer speed to low and slowly add the flour mixture to the egg mixture.
  6. Add cranberries, pecans and rum.
  7. Spread batter in a butter or parchment lined 9 inch square baking pan.
  8. Bake for 35 minutes.
  9. Transfer pan to a wire rack.
  10. Cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
