KD Masala
- 1 pkg. (225 g) Kraft Dinner Macaroni and Cheese
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1/2 tsp. cumin seed
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1-1/2 cups (1/2 of 28 fl oz/796-mL can) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1/2 tsp. dried fenugreek leaves
- 1/2 tsp. garam masala
- 1/2 tsp. ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp. red chili powder or cayenne pepper
- Prepare Kraft Dinner as directed on package; set aside.
- Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat.
- Add cumin seed; cook and stir 30 sec.
- Stir in onions and garlic; cook 5 min.
- or until tender, stirring frequently.
- Add tomatoes and seasonings; cook 5 min., stirring occasionally and mashing tomatoes with back of spoon.
- Add Kraft Dinner; mix lightly.
