Brandied Fruit Starter
- 1 can pineapple chunks
- 1 can sliced, drained peaches
- 1 can drained apricot halves
- 10 oz drained marachino cherries
- 1 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/4 cup brandy (apricot, peach, or reg
- Combine all ingredients in a clean, non metallic bowl with non metallic spoon; Stir gently.
- Cover and let stand ar room temp for 3 weeks, stirring fruit twice a week.
- After 3 weeks, mixture MUST be kept in the refridgerator
- Serve fruit over ice cream or pound cake, reserving at least 3 cups.
- To replenish, add 1 cup sugar and 1 of the 4 fruits, alternating fruits every 1 to 3 weeks.
- Stir gently and stand at room temp, refridgerating at 3 weeks
