Mango Bars

  1. Heat oven to 375F.
  2. Combine flour, sugar and salt in bowl.
  3. Cut in butter with pastry blender or fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Reserve 1/2 cup crumb mixture; set aside.
  5. Press remaining crumb mixture onto bottom of ungreased 13x9-inch baking pan.
  6. Bake 16-18 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
  7. Remove from oven.
  8. Top hot, partially baked crust with mango and preserves.
  9. Combine reserved crumb mixture and almonds; sprinkle over preserves.
  10. Bake 21-23 minutes or until crumbs are golden.
  11. Cool completely.
  12. Combine powdered sugar, lemon zest and vanilla in bowl.
  13. Stir in enough half & half for desired drizzling consistency.
  14. Drizzle over cooled bars.
  15. *Substitute 1 (24-ounce) jar refrigerated mango in light syrup, drained.
