Baked Pork Chops And Stuffing Recipe
- 2 x Pork loin chops (6 ounce. ea)
- 2 Tbsp. Diced onion
- 1/4 tsp Salt -- divided
- 1 x Clove, garlic -- chopped
- 1/4 tsp Pepper -- divided
- 1/2 c. Mushrooms -- minced
- 1/4 tsp Thyme leaves -- divided
- 2 Tbsp. Celery -- diced
- 1/2 c. Low sodium chicken broth
- 2 x Diet bread, lightly toasted
- 1 tsp Margarine Into 1/4" cubes
- On rack in broiling pan, broil pork chops, turning once, till rare.
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Arrange chops in casserole which is large sufficient to hold them in 1 layer and sprinkle with 1/8 tsp each salt, pepper and thyme, add in broth, cover casserole, and bake for about 45 min.
- While pork chops are baking, in small skillet heat margarine till bubbly and warm, add in onion and garlic and saute/fry till onion is translucent/soft.
- Add in mushrooms, celery and remaining 1/8 tsp each salt, pepper and thyme.
- Saute/fry for 5 min.
- Add in bread cubes.
- Spoon an equal amount of stuffing mix onto each baked pork chop; bake, uncovered for 15 min.
