Tomato-Walnut Casserole with Stuffing
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. minced garlic
- 2 cans (28 oz. each) crushed tomatoes
- 1 pkg. (6 oz.) STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix for Chicken
- 3/4 cup chopped PLANTERS Walnuts
- Heat oil in medium saucepan on medium heat.
- Add onions; cook 8 min.
- or until lightly browned, stirring frequently.
- Add garlic; cook and stir 1 min.
- Stir in tomatoes.
- Bring to boil; simmer on medium heat 20 min.
- or until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare stuffing as directed on package, reducing water to 1 cup.
- Stir in nuts.
- Spoon tomato mixture into 13x9-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray; cover with stuffing mixture.
- Bake 25 to 30 min.
- or until tomato mixture is heated through and stuffing mixture is lightly browned.
