Mom's Strawberry Pie Filling Recipe

• 3 c. sugar
• 3 c. water
• 1 teaspoon red food coloring
• 6 tbsp. cornstarch
• 1 sm. box strawberry Jello
• Large strawberries
• Pie shells
• Whipped cream

1. Cook sugar, water, cornstarch and food coloring till thick and clear.
2. Stir in Jello.
3. Cold.
4. Pour over fresh strawberries that have been sliced and placed in pie shell.
5. Chill.
6. Top with whipped cream and serve.
