Merry Cherry Holiday Dessert

  1. Stir boiling water into dry gelatin in large bowl at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved.
  2. Stir in cold water and cherry pie filling.
  3. Refrigerate 1 hour or until slightly thickened (consistency of unbeaten egg whites).
  4. Place cake cubes in 3-quart serving bowl.
  5. Spoon gelatin mixture over cake.
  6. Refrigerate 45 minutes or until set but not firm (should stick to finger when touched and should mound).
  7. Pour milk into large bowl.
  8. Add pudding mixes.
  9. Beat with wire whisk 2 minutes.
  10. Gently stir in 2 cups of the whipped topping.
  11. Spoon over gelatin mixture in bowl.
  12. Refrigerate 2 hours or until set.
  13. Top with remaining whipped topping.
