Chilled Tofu with Spicy Toppings
- 1 small block Tofu (silken recommended)
- 1 Myoga ginger
- 5 Shiso leaves
- 2 to 3 thin slices Ginger
- 3 to 4 Walnuts, almonds or other nuts (omit if you don't have any)
- 1/4 tsp Cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp Curry powder
- 1/2 tsp Honey
- 2 tsp Mentsuyu (3x concentrate)
- 1 tsp Olive oil
- 1 for garnish, (to taste) Tomato (omit if you don't have any)
- Finely julienne the myoga ginger, shiso leaves, and ginger.
- Roast the nuts and chop finely.
- Mix the seasoning ingredients in listed order: the cumin powder, curry powder, honey, mentsuyu and olive oil - the oil goes in last!
- Mix Step 1 and 2 together.
- Put the tofu on a serving plate, garnish with tomatoes if you like, top with the mixture from Step 3, and it's done.
