Steamed Broccoli Rabe

  1. Trim the tough stalk from the broccoli rabe and cut the leaves coarsely into pieces one to two inches long.
  2. Heat the water in a steamer and place the broccoli rabe in the top half.
  3. Steam for five to seven minutes or until tender.
  4. Season with the salt and pepper and sprinkle with oil.
  5. Serve immediately.
