5 Spice Pecans Recipe
- 1 lb pecan halves
- 1/4 c. butter or possibly margarine melted
- 2 Tbsp. Soy sauce
- 1 tsp five-spice pwdr
- 1/2 tsp garlic pwdr
- 1/2 tsp grnd ginger
- 1/4 tsp grnd red pepper
- 1.
- Place pecans in crock pot.
- In a bowl combine the melted margarine or possibly butter, soy sauce, five-spice pwdr, garlic pwdr, ginger and red pepper.
- Pour over nuts.
- Stir to coat nuts.
- 2.
- Cover; cook on low setting for 2 hrs.
- Uncover and stir.
- Turn to high-heat setting.
- Cover and continue cooking on high for 15 to 30 min.
- Cold.
- Makes about 4 c. (1/4 c. per serving)
