Delectable Eclair Torte

  1. Prepare pudding recipe.
  2. Chill while preparing and baking torte.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, bring water and butter to boil.
  4. Add flour and stir until soft ball forms of dough.
  5. Remove pan from heat and beat in one egg at a time making sure each addition is well incorporated.
  6. I use hand mixer making the job much easier.
  7. Pan should not be non stick if using this method.
  8. Preheat oven to 400F.
  9. Spread batter into a greased 9" by 13" baking pan.
  10. Push dough up sides of entire pan.
  11. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
  12. It should puff and be golden brown.
  13. Remove and cool for 30 minutes.
  14. If you'd like to serve on a platter or serving dish, remove puff and do so before adding on pudding layer.
  15. Spread pudding over puff dough and refrigerate for 35 minutes.
  16. In mixing bowl, beat on medium speed the cream.
  17. Once it starts to thicken add gelatin mix then powdered sugar..
  18. Beat until you have a thick whipped cream consistency.
  19. Spread cream over pudding.
  20. Chill entire torte 1 hour before adding chocolate drizzle and serving.
  21. Prepare chocolate sauce and drizzle over chilled torte.
  22. Leftovers must be refrigerated.
  23. Pour extra sauce over each serving if you like.
  24. You can also make my caramel sauce and drizzle some of that over for extra decadence.
