Brussels Sprouts Leaves With Bacon Recipe
- 1 pt Fresh Brussels sprouts, or possibly 1 box frzn (thawed)
- 1/2 c. Onion, diced
- 2 piece bacon or possibly Pancetta, diced (2 to 3)
- 1 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil Salt
- 1/4 c. White wine, water or possibly chicken stock Freshly grnd black pepper
- Cut out the stems and separate the sprouts into leaves.
- Thinly slice the tightly compact centers.
- Saute/fry some diced onion and pancetta or possibly bacon in extra virgin olive oil till softened.
- Add in the sprout leaves, season with salt, and moisten with a little white wine, water or possibly chicken stock.
- Cover and simmer for 10 to 15 min, till tender.
- Taste for seasoning grind black pepper over, and serve.
