Deep Dish Tamale Pie Recipe
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2/3 c. lowfat milk
- 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 c butter
- Make crust with the top ingredients and press into the bottom and sides of a greased 9x13 pan.
- Fry grnd beef with seasonings, onion and tomato paste.
- Smooth meat mix over crust.
- Top with pepper and tomatoes and kernel corn.
- Mix topping ingredients and spread over top.
- Bake uncovered at 375 degrees F. for 30-40 min.
- Serve with tortilla chips.
- Note: If the amount of spices seems too great, reduce to your liking.
