Indian Tacos
- 1- 1/2 pound Ground Beef
- 1 cup Chopped Onion
- 1 can (15 Oz. Size) Hormel Chili
- 1 can (15 Oz. Size) Ranch Style Beans
- 3 cups Flour
- 3 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 cup Vegetable Oil, Or More As Needed For Frying
- Optional Taco Toppings: Shredded Lettuce, Grated Cheddar Cheese, Chopped Tomatoes
- Brown ground beef and onion over medium heat until meat is browned and onions are softened.
- Drain grease.
- Add Hormel chili and Ranch Style Beans; heat throughly.
- In the meantime start your fry bread.
- Mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add milk and stir.
- Make dough balls using all of your dough because once you start the frying it goes pretty fast.
- I usually use about 1 cup of oil in an 8 inch skillet.
- Roll out the prepared dough balls one at time on floured board.
- (The balls dont need to be real big.
- Once you get all your toppings on it is quite filling. )
- Fry dough balls in hot oil until brown on both sides.
- Drain on paper towel while you continue frying all of the flattened dough balls.
- Top with meat mixture, shredded lettuce, cheese and tomatoes.
