Turkey drumsticks

  1. Preheat oven to 375
  2. Clean drumsticks with vinegar, pat dry, and pierce in several places
  3. Boil a pot of water with 4 lemon wedges.
  4. Once water reaches heaping boil, remove from heat.
  5. Place drumsticks in water, move around with a spoon or fork, remove, and pat dry and set aside- this step is optional
  6. Add all ingredients except drumsticks, tomatoes, and onions together
  7. Once marinade is mixed together, add drumsticks.
  8. Mix with your hands to make sure everything is coated.
  9. Cover and refrigerate overnight or 4 hrs
  10. Heat large pan with olive oil with medium to high heat.
  11. Once hot, add minced garlic and shallots.
  12. I use a griddle pan for the grill marks.
  13. Carefully, add the drumsticks.
  14. Give it as great sear.
  15. I'd say 4 minutes on ALL sides.
  16. Lower the heat a little bit and add the marinade.
  17. Allow to cook together for about 10 minutes covered.
  18. Uncover.
  19. Ooooooooooooh, can you smell that.
  20. This is optional but at this time, you can add 2 tablespoons of the cooking wine again.
  21. Cover with foil paper, poke holes, and place in oven for 40 minutes - 20 on each side.
  22. When turning after the 1st 20 minutes, add the onions and grape tomatoes.
  23. Cover with foil again.
  24. Optional- uncover and broil for 10 minutes tops, tucking the onions under the drumsticks.
  25. Remove from oven and allow to cool off.
  26. Bon Appetit
