W.F. Acree's Bar-B-Que Sauce
- 12 cup onion
- 14 cup green bell pepper
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 12 cups catsup
- 12 cup chili sauce
- 12 cup sugar
- 14 cup water
- 1 tablespoon horseradish sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 dash hot sauce
- 14 tablespoon paprika
- 12 tablespoon chili powder
- 14 tablespoon salt
- 18 tablespoon dry mustard
- 18 tablespoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons Galliano
- Chop onion fine.
- Remove seeds and chop bell pepper fine.
- Chop garlic fine.
- Melt butter in a sauce pan and add onion, bell pepper and garlic.
- Saute.
- Add remaining ingredients and cook for 15 minutes or more until thick and pungent.
- If it gets too thick, add more water.
