Egg Custard Pie

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees (225 C.).
  2. Combine eggs, sugar, salt, milk and vanilla.
  3. Stir until custard is smooth.
  4. Pour into unbaked pie shell.
  5. Sprinkle nutmeg on top.
  6. Bake pie for 15 minutes.
  7. Lower the heat to 350 degrees (175 C.).
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a knife inserted into the edge of the custard comes out clean.
  9. The center will be wobbly.
  10. Remove pie from oven.
  11. Let pie set for at least 30 minutes before cutting.
