Molasses Crinkle Cookies Recipe
- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. dark brown sugar, well packed
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. dark molasses
- 1/2 c. nonfat dry lowfat milk solids
- 2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon grnd cloves
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon grnd ginger
- 1/4 c. wheat germ
- 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- Cream butter and brown sugar till smooth and light.
- Beat in egg till fluffy.
- Add in molasses and dry lowfat milk; beat well.
- Blend in soda, salt, cloves, cinnamon, ginger, and wheat germ; beat 1 minute.
- Stir in flour till blended.
- Using 1/3 c. dough for each cookie, form dough into round balls.
- Roll in granulated sugar; place on well-greased cookie sheet.
- Sprinkle with few drops of water.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 14 min.
- Cold on rack.
- (Cookies freeze beautifully.)
- Makes 15 cookies.
