Chocolate Chip Kahlua Torte Recipe
- 1 c. walnuts
- 3 lg. Large eggs
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 c. graham cracker crumbs
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 2 tbsp. Kahlua
- 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Kahlua frosting, recipe follows
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Butter a 9 inch springform pan and set aside.
- Chop walnuts and set aside.
- In a mixer bowl, beat Large eggs on medium speed and slowly add in the sugar.
- Beat till light and fluffy.
- Add in the graham cracker crumbs, the baking pwdr, and the Kahlua.
- Mix very well.
- Add in chocolate chips and walnuts and blend thoroughly.
- Spread into the prepared pan.
- Bake exactly 30 min.
- Cold on cake rack.
- Remove sides of springform pan and frost top with Kahlua frosting.
- (Cake can be frzn without the frosting, provided it is wrapped well, first in plastic wrap, then in aluminum foil.)
- 8 servings.
