Hobo Chuck

  1. PUT the roast in a medium to large slow cooker (at least 4 quarts).
  2. SPREAD the dry rub over the meat.
  3. Add the bottled smoke.
  4. COVER and cook on high for 4 to 6 hours or on low for 8 to 10 hours, until the meat shreds easily.
  5. REMOVE the meat from the slow cooker and shred or chop.
