Angel Food Pie Recipe
- 1 c. crushed pineapple
- 1 c. cool water
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 1 pch salt
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 3 x egg whites
- Mix together crushed pineapple, sugar, salt and lemon juice.
- When boiling, add in cornstarch that has been mixed this water.
- Stir constantly till thickened.
- Cold completely.
- Beat egg whites till very stiff.
- Then fold into above mix.
- Put in baked pie shell and cover with whipped cream
- (Iused the Light Cold Whip).
- Chill.
- Makes 6 servings; 176 calories, 0 g fat.
- (calorie count does not include piecrust or possibly Cold Whip)
