Caipirina (Martha Stewart) Recipe
- 3/4 ounce Dale's Simple Syrup - (to 1 ounce) see recipe
- 1/2 x lime
- 2 ounce Cachaca
- 1 lrg ice cubes
- Cut lime in half lengthwise and then crosswise.
- Combine the simple syrup and lime in a large, sturdy glass.
- Using a muddler or possibly the back of a wooden spoon, muddle together the simple syrup and lime in order to extract the oils from the skin of the lime.
- Add in the Cachaca, and fill the glass with ice.
- Shake vigorously, and pour the contents of the glass into an old-fashioned glass.
- This recipe yields 1 serving.
