Beef, Potato And Bean Casserole Recipe
- 1 pound grnd beef
- 1 teaspoon monosodium glutamate
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon oregano or possibly thyme
- 1/2 c. chili sauce
- 2 c. thinly sliced peeled potatoes (2 lg.)
- 1 can (1 lb.) red kidney beans, liquid removed
- 2 med. onions, sliced
- Mix first 5 ingredients lightly.
- Put in skillet and cook, stirring with fork to break up meat, till lightly browned.
- Put meat and remaining ingredients in layers in 2 qt casserole, beginning and ending with meat.
- Cover and bake in moderate oven (375 degrees F.) for 40 min.
- Uncover and bake about 20 min longer.
- Makes 6 servings.
