Holiday Peanut Lights

  1. Reserve 1/4 cup icing; cover tightly and reserve for later use.
  2. Spoon 1/2-cup portions of remaining icing into 3 separate bowls.
  3. Tint with food colorings as desired to create 3 different shades.
  4. Use plastic forks to dip nuts, 1 at a time, into tinted icings, letting excess icing drip off nuts before placing in single layer on wire rack.
  5. Let stand 6 hours or until icing is firm.
  6. Thread large needle with string; use to pierce through marshmallows.
  7. Attach nuts to marshmallows with reserved icing to resemble strand of holiday lights.
  8. Place in shallow pan; let stand 2 hours or until icing is firm.
