Soft Buns for Sandwiches
- 200 grams Bread (strong) flour
- 12 grams Sugar
- 4 grams Salt
- 75 grams Milk
- 50 grams Water
- 2 1/2 grams Instant dry yeast
- 20 grams Unsalted butter
- 1 Oatmeal, sesame seeds, etc.
- Other than the butter, mix together all the ingredients and knead.
- Once the dough comes together, add the butter in and knead again.
- Once you've made a nice ball, let the dough rise for the first rising till it has doubled in size.
- Once it's done, divide into 6 portions, make them into balls, and then let them rest for 15 minutes.
- Roll out the dough into an oval shape and fold into thirds.
- Fold in half, pinch the edges tightly and gently turn it into a roll-like shape.
- Moisten the top, and cover with the oatmeal.
- Put them on a baking sheet, and slash the tops.
- Let the dough rise a second time.
- Spray with water and then bake them in an oven for 17 minutes at 210C.
- They are fragrant and fluffy when done.
- Here's a roll with baby salad greens and cured ham.
- The hot dog version has no slashes on top.
