Charro Rice`
- 1 tsp (oil for turkey)
- 1/2 packages chopped turkey bacon
- 1 diced roma tomatoe
- 1/2 bunch chopped cilantro
- 1/2 finely diced jalapeno
- 1/2 diced white onion
- 2 cup long grain rice
- 3 cup beef broth
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 tsp beef bullion
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tbsp dried onion flakes
- 1/2 tsp onion salt
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- 1 can drained corn
- heat beef broth, beef bullion & water in a pot let come to a boil turn off.
- add 1tsp oil, bacon & onion and jalapeno to pan cook down about 6minutes add tomatoes and cilantro and cook another 2-3minutes.
- set aside till you need.
- add oil & rice to pan with all seasonings, fry till rice turns a light golden color add in your bacon mix, corn & half your broth cover with lid simmer on med/low add seasonings & broth as needed till rice is cooked about 18-25 minutes depending on temperature.
- do not stir just poke.
