Adobo Sirloin Recipe
- 1 x lime juiced
- 1 tsp chopped garlic
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp grnd cumin
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 x 7 oz can chipotle in adobo
- 2 lb sirloin steak
- In a small bowl combine the lime juice, garlic, oregano, cumin, salt and pepper.
- Finely chop the adobo peppers and add in to the mix.
- Taste for heat and add in some of the juice from the can, if you like.
- Puncture the steak with a fork several times.
- Place steak in a dish and pour the marinade over it to coat.
- Marinate for at least 2 hrs or possibly overnight.
- Preheat the grill to high.
- Grill the steak to desired doneness.
- Cook's note: Marinating times vary for different foods.
- Usually the longest you want to marinate anything is overnight.
- After which, marinating tends to waterlog food, making it soft and mushy.
