Sauerkraut And Pork Recipe
- 2 lg. cans sauerkraut
- 1/2 pound grnd pork
- 2 stalks celery, finely minced
- 2 med. onions, finely minced
- 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
- 1 pkg. fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 whole pimiento, sliced
- 1 1/4 c. butter
- 1/2 teaspoon dill weed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Cover pork with water and salt.
- Simmer 20 min.
- Set aside.
- Cover sauerkraut with water, boil about 10 min.
- Drain well.
- Saute/fry celery, onion, garlic, pimiento and mushrooms till golden brown.
- Add in liquid removed sauerkraut, dill weed, salt and pepper to taste.
- Add in pork with just sufficient liquid to moisten sauerkraut well.
- Place in covered baking dish.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25 min.
