Seafood New Orleans
- onions, chopped
- 2 cups green peppers, chopped
- 1/2 cup shortening
- Canned diced tomatoes, undrained
- 2 cups Kraft Regular BarBQ Sauce
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- Cleaned raw shrimp (25 to 30 count), halved
- rice
- Cook and stir onion and green pepper in shortening in steam-jacketed kettle or heavy saucepot until tender but not brown.
- Add tomatoes, barbecue sauce, parsley and salt; stir.
- Cover; simmer 15 minutes.
- Add shrimp; cook an additional 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve over rice.
- Garnish with additional chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
