Sweet and Spicy Slaw
- 3 cups packaged shredded cabbage and carrot slaw
- 1/2 cup packaged matchstick carrots
- 1/3 cup dried sweetened cranberries
- 1 medium fresh jalapeno, cut into thin rounds
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 2 teaspoons canola or corn oil
- 1 teaspoon grated orange zest
- In a medium bowl, stir together all the ingredients.
- Serve immediately for peak flavor.
- For a milder slaw, cut the jalapeno in half lengthwise, discard the ribs and seeds, then chop the pepper.
