Almost No Calories: Konnyaku Steak

  1. Score one side of the konnyaku with a lattice pattern with small squares about 1.5 cm on each side.
  2. Boil the konnyaku for 3 minutes.
  3. Drain into a colander.
  4. Coat the side of the konnyaku that's not scored with katakuriko.
  5. Heat up some vegetable oil in a frying pan, and pan-fry the konnyaku until browned on both sides.
  6. Turn down the heat add the yakiniku sauce to the pan, coat the konnyaku and it's done.
