Acorn Squash, Indonesian Recipe

  1. Cut squash in half; remove seeds.
  2. Wash and drain excess water but don't dry.
  3. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  4. Place in slow-cooking pot.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 3 to 5 hrs or possibly till tender.
  6. Remove from pot; set, cut side up, on broiler pan or possibly heat-proof platter.
  7. Brush inside of squash with butter.
  8. Mix chutney and coconut; spoon into cavity of squash.
  9. Bake in 400 F oven for about 15 min or possibly till bubbly.
