Cheesy Potato Soup

  1. In a large saucepan or soup kettle, saute onion in butter.
  2. Add potatoes and water.
  3. Bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat; simmer for 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  5. Turn heat up to medium.
  6. Stir in the milk, soup, garlic salt, onion powder, and pepper; heat through.
  7. Add cheese; Stir until cheese is melted.
  8. Garnish with parsley.
