Just-Add-Water Instant Oatmeal with Apples and Cinnamon

  1. Special equipment: an 8-ounce lidded heat-safe container
  2. Put the oatmeal, apple rings, apple butter, raisins, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and a pinch of salt in an 8-ounce lidded heat-safe container.
  3. Secure the lid, and refrigerate up to overnight.
  4. When ready to eat, add 1/2 cup boiling water, stir gently and cover until the oats are tender and the apple rings have softened, about 3 minutes.
  5. Stir again, and eat warm.
