Three Cheese Stromboli Rolls

  1. In a large mixing bowl (or in the bowl of a stand mixer), mix the water, yeast, sugar, honey and oil.
  2. Then mix in 1 cup flour and the salt.
  3. Continue mixing in all the remaining flour until you get a nice, soft dough.
  4. Knead until dough is soft and smooth, about 10 minutes by hand or 5 minutes with a stand mixer.
  5. Shape the dough into a ball and place in a lightly greased bowl and cover tightly (with a lid or plastic wrap).
  6. Place the dough in a warm place and let rise for about 1 hour.
  7. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  8. On a floured surface, roll the dough into a long oval.
  9. Layer with sopresatta, salami, and pepperoni, then cheeses.
  10. Roll the long side away from you until sealed.
  11. With a sharp knife, slice into 1-inch wide rolls.
  12. Place each roll onto a parchment or silpat-lined baking sheet.
  13. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until outside is nice and golden brown.
  14. Serve warm or at room temperature.
