Chicken Fricasse With Herb Dumplings Recipe
- 1 c. Bisquick baking mix
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 2 1/2 pound broiler fryer chicken, cut up
- 3 tbsp. shortening
- 1 can (10 3/4 ounce.) cream of chicken soup
- 1 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- Mix baking mix, salt, paprika, and pepper coat chicken.
- Brown in shortening in large skillet.
- Remove chicken; drain fat.
- Mix soup and lowfat milk in skillet.
- Add in chicken.
- Cover; heat to boiling.
- Cook over low heat about 45 min or possibly till chicken is tender.
- For herb dumplings prepare dumplings as directed on Bisquick box except add in parsley and poultry seasoning.
- Serves 4.
