Black Walnut Cottage Pudding Recipe
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 x egg, well beaten
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 c. lowfat milk
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 3 tsp baking pwdr
- 1/2 c. minced black walnuts
- 1/2 tsp vanilla flavoring
- Cream butter with sugar.
- Add in egg.
- Beat thoroughly.
- Sift flour, measure and sift with baking pwdr and salt.
- Add in alternately with lowfat milk to first mix.
- Add in walnuts and flavoring.
- Mix thoroughly and pour into shallow, well-oiled baking pan.
- Bake in moderate oven
- (375F.)
- 30 min.
- Serve with vanilla or possibly hard sauce.
